Kahuna Harry Uhane Jim

Kalani's series of Hawaiian Culture Events feature a different Hawaiian cultural practitioner who speaks and shares 'ike (wisdom) through talk story, hō`ike`ike (demonstration), or hana`ana (performances).
These Hawaiian Culture Events provide a unique forum where Hawai`i and its peoples can come together and share cultural knowledge, customs, and aloha to all willing to receive.

This month we present Lomi Lomi traditions in Hawaiʻi with Harry Uhane Jim.

Harry Jim is known as Kahuna la'au lapa'au and Ho'oponopono. He is vibrant and joyful in his sharing, teaching and facilitation, and has been a favorite here at Kalani and in our community.

Harry will be presenting the different styles and ideas of lomi lomi, as shared with him through Kumus he has worked with including Aunt Margret Machado, Aunty Fern Delosantos, Tutu Moki and others. He will be showing their different styles in lecture, demonstration and answering questions.
