Nature and Adventure

Yoga, Meditation, Exploration, Relaxation

Dorje Immanuel

Yoga, Meditation, Exploration, Relaxation focuses on introducing and awakening all aspects of a high vibrational lifestyle through guiding each participant through a carefully designed retreat itinerary filled with healthy excitement.  Daily yoga and meditation will be offered along with explorative adventures and a variety of seminars.

About the Facilitator(s)

Dorje Immanuel

The retreat was designed by T. Dorje Immanuel, principle owner of Harakati Studios, a high vibrational healing arts center in Los Angeles California, and previous Kalani volunteer.  The amazing landscape, fluid social design, and Kalani’s rich appreciation for Hawaiian culture appealed to Dorje as a sustainable architecture student and although his volunteership was brief, it ignited a desire to share Kalani’s magical campus and the wonders of the Big Island with Harakati’s diverse clientele.  Many other retreats centered around high vibrational healing arts are in the process of being designed for 2017 including retreats in Egypt, Italy, and Greece.

Movement and creativity became the keystones in her own quest towards holistic health and she revels in the opportunity to share these learnings with her students - through vinyasa, AcroYoga, Thai massage, art making and many more somatic meditations.

She has become known for her fluid and dynamic yoga teaching style, coaxing students to get out of their head and drop into their feeling, intuitive body. What results is a profound breath-per-movement meditation of 'flow state', inspired by the teachings of her mentor, vinyasa trailblazer Shiva Rea.

BROOKE ELLISTON

Brooke grew up barefoot and by the sea, two traits which remain distinctive of her character and way of life today. A surfer, she spends plenty of time in the ocean, a love symbiotic to her way of life in yoga.

Brooke has been taught and guided by some extraordinary teachers, yoga schools and swamis; most notably studying the ancient teachings of Tantra Yoga extensively in Thailand, which are the underpinning of her teaching style. She enjoys weaving the threads of traditional teachings into a fluid and dynamic practice to offer a slow, strong flow - a deep burn of sensory explosions, with a mellow approach.

Brooke has a dedicated practice and is constantly driven to explore and stay curious. She teaches from a place of embodied experience and has a love for speaking to the intricacies of body, prana and breath. She is a yoga and meditation teacher at BodyMindLife studios in Sydney, Australia, a qualified Lawyer and co-founder of Back2Roots Retreats - hosting transformative retreats around Australia and abroad.

Spirit of Aloha

Drea Phoenix

Join us for this truly unique Yoga Retreat where you will experience the magic of Aloha. You will return home with more balance, purpose and love for yourself then ever before.

About the Facilitator(s)

I started my path in Yoga at 17 and I was drawn in a very deep way and somehow knew that this was “my way”. When I was in India I was called “an old soul” and India itself felt familiar. My path of Yoga led to self-discovery and for many years it was enough to practice Yoga.

Then in 2006, I had this realization that I needed to share the knowledge that I had learned and in fact “not to share” would be selfish. That this was part of my higher purpose. I then completed my teacher training at the Bryon Bay Yoga Centre in Australia under the supervision of John Ogilvie. I have also studied with other teachers such as Shiva Rea, Christine Selda, and Bernie Clark. I have been teaching ever since.

My intent is to bring joy and healing through the practice of Yoga – to guide people in the true connection of their inner being. I incorporate breath, sequencing and asana and mediation in my teachings. I teach a dynamic Vinyasa Flow Practice as well as Yin Yoga, Prenatal and Therapeutic Yoga. I live in Nelson, BC in the heart of amazing mountains.
