Lila Vinyasa 300 Hour YTT in Hawaii, Module 2

Clara Roberts-Oss

November 16, 2017 - November 25, 2017

We will cover the following in Module Two of 300 Hour Lila Vinyasa Yoga:

About the Facilitator(s)

Clara Roberts-Oss
Movement has always been sacred to me. I have danced my whole life, whether it’s been grooving to a good song, taking dance classes or flowing through a vinyasa, my body can’t get enough. Through movement, I feel as though I’m communing with the Divine. I took my first vinyasa class in 2000 at Jivamukti Yoga Center. I had a feeling of arriving home. We moved through postures seamlessly with an emphasis of breath-body connection. The class gave me what the dance world didn’t, an emphasis on the internal journey. I received my 200 hour Vinyasa Certification with Lauren Hanna at Sonic Yoga NYC in 2003. I met Shiva Rea shortly thereafter and again, felt as though I had come home. Shiva had created a language for the kind of movement I’ve been doing my whole life. She, too, understood the idea of fluidity. Our bodies yearn to move like water and when we do, our bodies hum with excitement.  I’ve completed my 300 hour Prana Flow Certification with Shiva.

I have been leading retreats for over 8 years both in the BC region and internationally. I was part of Sonic Yoga’s NYC 200 Hour Teacher Training in 2005-2006. I have been part of Semperviva’s 300 Hour Teacher Training faculty in BC since 2007. I started my own school of yoga, Lila School of Vinyasa Yoga, in  2013. I teach workshops on the subtle body, chakras, mantra, meditation and asana worldwide.

I thank all my teachers for sharing their passion of this practice with me: David Life for opening my heart, Stacey Brass for her minute cues that have changed me life, Uma for opening my voice, Dana Flynn for throwing out all the rules and inspiring me to do the same, Constantine Darling for showing me another way, and Paul Ortega for reminding me we are ALL the cosmic dancer.

I invite you to be playful in your practice, remembering that lightness is found in spirit!

Shivanad Oss, Guest Teacher
I 'chanced' upon Joseph Campbell's "Hero of a Thousand Faces" fifty years ago in the stacks at Loyola College in Montreal. I 'chanced' upon Carlos Casteneda's "Journey to Itxlan" five years later. Because of Campbell, I recognized that Don Juan, the Yaqui shaman, in "Itxlan" was living mythologically. I studied with Brizilian shamans for seven years & led my own circles for about ten.
Mythology helped me leave the village of the predigested experiences of my culture & enter the mystic forest of original experience. The world is all forgetting & the heart is a rage of directions. For me, living myth unites the heart & the world is lifted into its place.

Valencia of Twisted Orbit, In-Depth Teacher

This versatile, vivacious, vaudevillian vixen, Valentina dazzles audiences around the world with her unique vision of circus dance fusion. Sharing her magic in both performance and workshops is her passion and drive. Valentina now blends belly dance with hooping, fire, burlesque and hoop juggling. Her ability to seamlessly combine these art forms gives her a provocative style unlike any other. She is the leader of The Hoop Unit, the Vaudeville Vixens, one half of Twisted Orbit, a hoop fabricator and an event producer.

Bags of Twisted Orbit, In-Depth Teacher

She is inspired in the creation of creative community space and inside the family VIBE of the hoop community. In-Depth is her baby, and the best party she'll ever throw. At In-Depth Shakti acts as visionary glue, space-holder, dance and yoga teacher and mama. She loves every moment and all the friends made along the way!

You might have seen her dancing on the Wanderlust Festival main stage, or on the cover of Yoga Journal. Luna Breeze, In-Depth Producer

Exotic, energetic, and entertaining, Luna  extends far beyond the acrobatic. She is known for her fusion of modern dance, tradition circus skills, and musicality within her dance. As a teacher she is known for her accessibility, goofy sense of humor and serious attitude of positive empowerment through the ring.

He likes to help people light up in their lives to find the bliss that is part of our birthright.

The classes, private sessions and retreats we offer, provide practical skills in how to move your body (yoga), make friends with your mind (meditation) and bring more relaxation into your life and being (breathing and massage).

About the Facilitator(s)

Alison Boons, ERYT, PRYT
Join Alison Boons for your Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training.  Prenatal Yoga is her PASSION. Learn to live what you love!

In my own Teacher Training program, I had an introduction to Prenatal Yoga and the rest is history! With 3 nieces, and a love for children, my passion for Prenatal Yoga grew. Ironically, a consequence of my health challenge made it clear that it would be unlikely for me to have children of my own. In Prenatal Yoga I found a wonderful opportunity to be a part of the miracle of life and to bring that joy to others.

Prenatal Yoga is an experience that allows one to be part of an amazing journey of new life, it allows one to build community and become a part of the connection between mother & baby.

Join Andrea Nacey for your Yin Yoga Teacher Training.  Yin Yoga is her PASSION.  Learn to live what you love!

Some students have nicknamed me 150% Andrea. I encourage students to leave their hustling bustling lives at the door as they enter the sweet, sacred space that Yoga provides.

You will always feel safe, and supported in classes. Yoga is for everyone regardless of age, gender or limitations. You will learn about yourself on your mats, and recognize how powerful Yoga is as preventative medicine. We will create strong intentions together on our mats, propel forward, and transform. Yoga is all about being present, doing one thing at a time, and being inspired.
