Yoga and the Art of Living: No Mountaintop Required

Daniel Stewart and Lori Snyder

January 26, 2015 - January 31, 2015

Every time we step on to our mat, we practice aligning our outer posture. But how do we align inwardly with our most awakened self? What happens when we unleash the full power of yoga’s potential to transform not just the body, but also the mind and heart? What happens when we commit to changing our perceived limitations into the truth of our highest growth and unfolding?

FREEDOM!!

About the Facilitator(s)

Daniel Stewart is a beloved RYT 500 yoga teacher, founder and co-owner of Rising Lotus Yoga in Sherman Oaks and an holistic Mind/Body Psychotherapist in private practice in the Los Angeles area. Daniel is dedicated to studying and teaching yoga as an embodied practice of awakening—fully and playfully—to wholeness and joy in each moment. He believes that all spiritual and psychological teachings, east and west, lead to one truth: our authentic inner life is waiting to be lived, passionately and creatively, without restraint—NOW—and true happiness is achieved only in this way. In dynamic classes, workshops, and retreats, Daniel integrates music, eastern philosophy, depth psychology, poetry, and laughter to create vibrant, healing environments where students can quiet their minds, release physically, and rediscover a deep sense of wellbeing and joy. He shares his love of music and its healing and transformational power through the art and practice of Kirtan. www.danielstewart.com and www.risinglotusyoga.com

Lori Snyder, E-RYT, MPA (Masters of Professional Writing), is a yoga teacher, writer, and editor known for her philosophies of kindness, love for words that move us, and rocking soundtracks. Devoted to both Vinyasa Yoga and the creative process as tools to remind us who we truly are, her classes weave together breath, music, rhythm, and flow into a powerful, inclusive invitation to align with your own deepest truth. The founder and former co-owner of Om Shala Yoga in Northern California and the creator of Yoga:edit (editing services for the yoga community) as well as of Cancello Venice, an online art and literature journal centered around Venice, CA, Lori now teaches at Yoga Nest Venice and at writers’ conferences. She also leads embodied creativity retreats for working writers and artists, combining yoga and creativity exercises with time to create, and her short fiction has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. www.lorisnyderyoga.com, www.yogaedit.com, and www.cancellovenice.com.
