Tobias Fehmer, MD

Tobias Fehmer, MD
Chief Surgeon, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology
Nordwestkrankenhaus Sanderbusch, Sande, Germany

Having spent half of my life at the operating table, a profession which I do love, I always felt bad when I had to deal with patients suffering from chronic ailments like backpain, where my only known answer was a knife, a syringe or antiinflammatory drugs.

A few years ago I happened to meet an American Chiropractor in Germany who taught me a new way to increase health instead of treating desease.
Medicine ist the science of disease and what causes man to die,  Chiropractic is the science of health and what causes man to live.

Not only from my personal experiences under chiropractic care but also from the witnessed changes in the health status of my patients I do enclose this very much now in my daily care of patients at any age thus promoting health and a better quality of life. Chiropractic started to change my life towards more health, the most valuable asset we have in our life. I would love you to share my experience.

Shannon Red Cloud

Shannon began her yoga journey during the hot Summer months of 2003 in Hood River, OR. Her love for Bikram Yoga accelerated her undeniable calling to become an instructor with the help of Patricia Martin-Bunch (whom Shannon will feel forever indebted to)! It is truly amazing what can happen when one person believes in you and has faith in your abilities.

Shannon went on to open The Dalles' first and only yoga studio, Pure Yoga, in 2008. While she enjoyed teaching the Bikram method for over 5 years, her life took a dramatic shift in 2009 opening her up to a deepened awareness far beyond just the scope of Bikram Yoga. This led Shannon to complete Teacher Trainings in Vinyasa, Yin, Buti and Paddleboard Yoga.

The practice of yoga continually shows Shannon that NOTHING in your path IS IMPOSSIBLE on and off of the mat. More than anything she relishes in the opportunity to share this with you, providing the space for you to open up to, feel and know that possibilities are endless, where ever you are on your path!

Ana Lacy, CCH, Reiki Master

"I am a firm believer in the power of Reiki and Crystal Healing. Reiki took me from being someone who was "hooked" on medications and constantly sick, to someone who never gets sick and is emotionally healthy.  Now, I'm a Reiki Master in two lineages, Usui Holy Fire and Karuna Holy Fire and a Certified Crystal Healer: combining the two together is magical! When we meet at the Kalani Yoga Retreat, know that all the reiki and crystals I use in your session will awaken your life intention and purpose. My intention is to help you focus on grounding to  your life intention. This will allow you to be present in your intention -- during this retreat and in your life. I invite you to set your intention for this --your – Wellness Wave Yoga Retreat... and allow yourself to heal."

Spirit of Aloha

Drea Phoenix

Join us for this truly unique Yoga Retreat where you will experience the magic of Aloha. You will return home with more balance, purpose and love for yourself then ever before.

About the Facilitator(s)

I started my path in Yoga at 17 and I was drawn in a very deep way and somehow knew that this was “my way”. When I was in India I was called “an old soul” and India itself felt familiar. My path of Yoga led to self-discovery and for many years it was enough to practice Yoga.

Then in 2006, I had this realization that I needed to share the knowledge that I had learned and in fact “not to share” would be selfish. That this was part of my higher purpose. I then completed my teacher training at the Bryon Bay Yoga Centre in Australia under the supervision of John Ogilvie. I have also studied with other teachers such as Shiva Rea, Christine Selda, and Bernie Clark. I have been teaching ever since.

My intent is to bring joy and healing through the practice of Yoga – to guide people in the true connection of their inner being. I incorporate breath, sequencing and asana and mediation in my teachings. I teach a dynamic Vinyasa Flow Practice as well as Yin Yoga, Prenatal and Therapeutic Yoga. I live in Nelson, BC in the heart of amazing mountains.

Vinyasa Yoga Adventure

Kimberly Musial and Dezza Pastor

February 18, 2017 - February 25, 2017

The Yoga Hive’s instructors will offer two yoga classes per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Your presence in these classes is encouraged to soak in the full experience of your retreat; however, it is not required. Classes will include simple meditation, vinyasa yoga practice in the morning, and a more restorative - but still active - evening practice.

About the Facilitator(s)

Kimberly Musial
, ERYT, MPA, operates the Yoga Hive, a community oriented vinyasa yoga studio in Pittsburgh, PA. A wife, daughter, mother, sister, and yogi among other roles, she is a lover of adventure.

Her assists take cues from her Thai massage training. She is a strong proponent of vipassana meditation and believes in the power and magic of the Big Island.
