The Path of Love

Sat Shree and Satyamayi

November 29, 2015 - December 5, 2015

About the Facilitator(s)

Sat Shree

Sat Shree experienced a sudden awakening to the spiritual dimension of existence in 1998.

“This state arose suddenly without any effort on my part in the midst of an individual human life one night in 1998. This ‘awakening’ was a glimpse of an utterly different and radical state of being that I now reside in.

My work is to play a part in this Truth Manifestation by awakening and supporting its expression in those that come to me. I have traveled this journey myself and have learned the secrets. I am, like all truly awakened spiritual teachers, a farmer tending nature’s garden of evolving souls.”

In 2009, with his partner, Satyamayi, Sat Shree founded New Dharma to support his teaching.

Satyamayi

Satyamayi serves as our retreat “Mother of Truth” nurturing us through her full support and assistance. As co-founder of New Dharma, Satyamayi  travels with Sat Shree, actively supporting all aspects of his work. Her sacrifice, patience and wisdom are a powerful expression of the maturity one develops in service to Divine.

She supports and guides many who come to Sat Shree sharing the pain and difficultly of her own process. Her wisdom and truth strengthens many who are struggling with their own transformation process. She has been with Sat Shree since the start of his journey, first as his wife and now as his partner in the work.

She shares directly from her experience having witnessed the transformation of a husband into a Divine being, becoming transformed herself in the process.

Ecstatic Living Retreat

Maxwell Starkhouse & Lino Laure

September 29, 2015 - October 4, 2015

Aloha!

About the Facilitator(s)

Maxwell Starkhouse

Maxwell first came to the Big Island of Hawaii in 2001 as a volunteer at Kalani Honua. He soon discovered Ecstatic Dance and was so inspired by the musical, dance journey that he began to attend the weekly dances at Kalani as well as attending various yoga classes a few times a week.

In 2003 he completed his first yoga teacher training with Kathy Elder and began teaching weekly Intuitive Yoga classes. In the same year he became a Licensed Massage Therapist and began offering sessions. He then went on to travel to Chicago for a Yogic Arts teacher training and then onto India to practice Ashtanga Yoga in Kerala and discovered Vipassana Meditation in Gujarat.

When he returned to Hawaii and the dance community, he yearned for more tribal and world music. So this inspired him to become a DJ. In 2009, he DJ-ed at Kalani’s Ecstatic Dance and has been collecting music and DJ-ing ever since.

At Kalani, he also teaches Intuitive Yoga classes, Intuitive Aquatic Movement classes (in the warm therapy pool) and works as a Massage Therapist, offering sessions on the massage table and, uniquely, in the water. He also enjoys playing various musical instruments, spinning fire, bodysurfing and playing in Hawaii's nature.

Lino Laure

Lino discovered the joy of Ecstatic Dance at Kalani in 2003 when he moved to the Big Island of Hawaii 10 years ago. Dancing has always been part of his life and the nature of Ecstatic Dance, as a conscious dance process, fulfilled his spiritual inclinations.

In 2009 when Lino moved to Kalani, he accepted the honor of facilitator for Ecstatic Dance Hawaii (one of the largest venue in the US) and has been facilitator for Ecstatic Dance Hawaii since.

In his personal life, Lino has been practicing meditation for over thirty years and studied under the auspices of his teacher, JK Gurukal, a master healer and martial artist from Kerala, India, learning aspects of yoga, meditation, martial arts and the healing arts: applied sciences from the tradition of Dhanurveda.

Lino is also a painter and artist. He enjoys sharing all of his various skills by way of teaching and facilitating workshops and classes at Kalani, on the Big Island of Hawaii, where he also resides.

Her work facilitates personal insight into how our wise bodies express our deepest feelings and needs and are the foundation of our spiritual connection and renewal. Her specialties are healing past traumas that block our energy and inhibit us from fully living life, creating clarity out of confusion, and supporting the graceful navigation of challenging life transitions.

As a mother and healer Beth intimately understands how the stresses of daily life can interfere with our ability to contact the sacred that is always within our selves. Beth assists women to connect with and unfold their divine feminine selves by creating a space to go within.  It is here that we find that sacred place that always resides in ourselves but often is neglected due to external stress.

Beth currently resides on the Standing Rock Sioux Indian Reservation in South Dakota, where she teaches yoga at Sitting Bull College and has a private massage practice. She is also the co-founder of The Natural Law Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to reservation community projects that inspire relearning our connection to the natural world.
