His first Yin Yoga teacher was Alan McGrew, and soon after graduating from Kathy Elder's first annual yoga teacher training in 2001, he has deepened his understanding of body wisdom through workshops and classes with many teachers, including Shiva Rea, Saul David Raye, Alicia Cheung and Oliver Reinsch. He has felt honored and inspired by the teachings of many and holds gratitude for all of his teachers, past and present. He continues to hold a sacred space for breath, gratitude, yoga and love in his weekly Yin Yoga class and Vinyasa Flow classes at Kalani Oceanside Retreat.

Naked Yoga for Men Summer Retreat

He invites you to embrace SIMPLICITY, PATIENCE and COMPASSION as you deepen your practice and your connection with your true Self. Ken also offers Yoga Therapy workshops on a variety of topics such as restorative yoga, grief, relationships, stress management and coping with chronic illness.

Tim J Luddy

Tim LuddyTim J Luddy works with introducing Five Elements imagery during opening meditation that will encourage focus and exploration during an energetic Hatha flow class; he welcomes the opportunity to work in Hawaii’s dynamic elemental environment. He also works with building community through partner work. He has studied Therapeutic Yoga with Harvey Deutch as part of Yoga Tree’s Teacher Training Program, and his classes emphasize alignment and safety. Tim is certified RYT 500 by Yoga Alliance, and teaches with San Francisco’s Naked Yoga for Men group, at Active Sports Club in Oakland, and at Sports Basement in San Francisco; he has also taught at the 2013 and 2014 Open Body conferences at Wildwood.

Michael Ceraso

Michael Ceraso began his journey as a bodyworker through receiving a wide range of excellent bodywork.  After receiving reiki attunements and practicing for a year he traveled to Thailand where he studied Reflexology at Wat Po in Bangkok and Traditional Thai Massage at ITM in Chiang Mai.

Upon returning to Hawaii he continued to explore healing work through intensive studies of Cranial-Sacral Therapy and Polarity. These studies laid the foundation upon which he has added Swedish Massage and Barefoot Shiatsu.  In 2006 he spent another two months in Thailand where he studied with 3 different teachers, learning new techniques and deepening his practice. He is a licensed acupuncturist with a Masters degree in Oriental Medicine. 

He has been the Wellness Director at Kalani since 2004 and orchestrated the Kalani Bodywork Training Intensive for the last 10 years as well as teaching its Traditional Thai Massage course.

Amy Doff has enjoyed teaching Human Anatomy, Physiology & Kinesiology to beginning massage students and allied health students, in numerous settings, for over 6 years. She hopes to influence her students to appreciate and take care of their bodies and their physical, social, political and energetic environments. Amy has been practicing medical massage/soft-tissue rehabilitation for the past 14 years and enjoys providing treatment work.

Amy is passionate about participating in our food system (from ground to grind and root to crown) and utilizing the opportunities we have as Massage Therapists to share self- awareness and health education with our clients. She promotes Wellness in Action (meeting our daily needs in ways that also nourish our physical, mental, spiritual and environmental health).

Amy has training in Massage Therapy (LMT, Hawaiian Islands School of Body Therapies, 2001), Anthropology (BA) & Occupational Safety & Health (Minor, UH Hilo, 2006) and a Master’s in Public Health, focusing on Health Policy and Management (UH Manoa, 2010). She currently serves on the Hawai‘i County Subarea Health Planning Council and collaborates with the Matungu Community Development Charity, a sister Community Based Organization, in rural western Kenya, to plan public health and community empowerment programs.
