Lomilomi massage is an integral part of the Hawaiian healing tradition. It incorporates rhythmic movement, intuitive touch, body placement, conscious breathing, prayer, and changing thoughts of limiting beliefs. The goal of a lomilomi massage session is to instill forgiveness and release thereby creating a sense of wholeness and alignment of the self. It promotes a cleansing of the self on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels.

In this 6 day Lomilomi massage workshop students will learn and practice the skills/techniques needed to perform a full body Lomilomi massage session. Students will learn body mechanics and exercises, pule (prayer), Hawaiian terminology, strokes/techniques prone and supine, and hot stone application.
