The apex of the week is the “Moon-day” December 20th, 11p.m., Full Lunar Eclipse celebration, followed by “Hula Tuesday” Solstice fun.

The Moon-day program begins with Dinner* (6-7:30pm) featuring the solstice magic of the Puna Men’s Chorus, followed by fire dancing under the stars (8-10pm) and the lunar eclipse ceremony.

This is the time of the Ritual of the Tree of Life, presented by integrative therapist/yogini/dancer Marya Mann. The Ritual of the Tree of Life, with the promise of strong roots, stable trunks rising with sap into the open sky, lateral branching, and scented regeneration year after year, reminds us to share our glorious flowerings. And love each other.

Explore the Cosmic Shamanic essence of Kalani Honua with ritualist/composer/snake dancer Jim Berenholtz, who will be hosting multiple events for "Attuning To Our Future Earth." These events include:

Sunday, 12/19, 7:30 pm - Learn where all the major volcanoes, tectonic plates and earthquake faults are on our planet, the science of Geo-anatomy, and how all sorts of activity patterns on Planet Earth are linked to solar and lunar cycles, as well as geographical design.

Monday, 12/20, 4:30 pm - Can we know in advance when and where earthquakes and volcanic eruptions are coming, and if so, how? Is there an ancient tradition that we might call "Volcano Shamanism"? If we were to develop an extremely profound, intimate, even erotic link to earth's seismic and volcanic expressions, could we humans energetically merge with the earth's inner movements to feel them before, during and after they occur?

Tuesday, 12/21, 4:30 pm - As we near December 21, 2012, the culmination of a major cycle in the Mayan Calendar, and exactly 2 years after this gathering, we dedicate today to exploring the prophecies, mythologies, cosmologies and calendars of ancient cultures. Does human activity like mining, drilling and nuclear testing play a role? How about theories of an approaching planet from outside our solar system? What about the affects of sun spot activity, cosmic radiation, and the photon belt? etc. etc. (there are so many theories!!)

Wednesday, 4:30pm, 12/22 - Today is our day to integrate all that we have discussed and learned over the previous three days. How can we implement the information we are receiving?  How best to share and use it? Can scientific and intuitive disciplines be combined effectively and accurately? And most importantly, how can we best serve our planet through becoming interpreters of the Earth's living voice?

Mark KadotaMark Kadota

My main motivation to create artwork is to find universal languages, searching for common truths that unite rather than separate. I feel that artwork, at its best, mirror society and our interior selves, raise questions, and presents communication and reflection. I try to make my messages human, poetic, inclusive, humorous, accessible and comprehensible to everyone.
