Hawaii Yoga Escape
Kelley Linn, jaRed Sam, & Omkar
December 3, 2011 - December 8, 2011
Rejuvenate and reward yourself between the holidays with a blissful Hawaii Yoga Escape. Practice yoga in the midst of Hawaii's lush tropical surrounds, and introduce yourself to multiple types of yoga, including Kundalini, Yin, Vinyasa Flow, Anusara™ Inspired and Restorative.
Hawaii Yoga Escape includes four days of up to 12 yoga and meditation classes, five nights’ accommodation, and three delicious, healthy, chef-prepared meals each day. Workshop participants will also enjoy full access to Kalani facilities during their stay.
Relax poolside, soak in outdoor hot tubs under a beautiful blue sky by day and a dazzling blanket of stars by night. Work up a sweat in Kalani's sauna and gym facilities, or relax with a book in the Kalani library.
Luxuriate with one or more of Kalani's many massage and bodywork treatments, from traditional Hawaiian lomi-lomi, Thai massage, to raindrop technique. And sample Watsu aquatic bodywork for free.
Participate in the 50+ activities and classes offered at Kalani each week. Experience Hawaiian culture in our Hula, Hawaiian Studies, and Huna Healing classes; enjoy dance and movement during Ecstatic Dance, Modern Dance, Qi Gong, Aerial Basics, pilates and more.
Connect with nature as you explore nearby sights. Watch sunrise at “the point”, a rocky bluff overlooking deep blue waters of Hawaii where turtles, dolphins, and humpback whales often play. Walk the dramatic coastline where ocean waves crash against cliffs of hardened lava. Snorkel at local tide pools, soak in a natural therapeutic warm pond, hike a volcano, experience lava, and visit the local black sand beach.
Great yoga, Great fun, Great price.
Can't make it until next year? Click here to check out the second Hawaii Yoga Escape, which runs from April 2-7, 2012.

He first discovered his yoga body through the ashtanga primary series with Pamela Richardson in the summer of '97. He graduated from Kathy Elder's original yoga teacher training class in 2001 and has since deepened his understanding of teaching vinyasa flow yoga through intensives with Duncan Wong and Shiva Rea. He has felt honored and inspired by the teachings of many and holds gratitude for all of his teachers, past and present. He continues to hold a sacred space for breath, gratitude, yoga and love in his weekly classes at Kalani Oceanside Retreat.
Omkar has been inspired by yoga ever since his grandmother introduced him to it in the early 70’s. In the mid-90’s yoga helped him overcome debilitating back problems caused by stress. After retiring from corporate America in 1997, yoga became an integral part of his daily life. He completed his Yoga Alliance certified Sivananda teacher training in 2005. In 2006 & 2007 he made pilgrimages to India to expand and intensify his knowledge of yoga. He teaches Kundalini, Restorative Yin, and Alignment-based Hatha yoga practices.
