Come and explore this beautiful massage in the land of its origin. In these immersion workshops, you will practice the ancient art of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi and Pohaku Wela Hot Stone Massage while supported and nurtured in the midst of Hawaii's lush tropical rainforest.

These workshops cover a great deal of hands on technique and are designed as continuing education for massage therapists. Earns 52 NCBTMB CE hours and 20 CPD points with the UK’s CThA and Australian AAMT.

Participants in this workshop will learn:

  • The history and philosophy of Lomi Lomi
  • Breath and movement exercises to raise mana
  • A complete full body Lomi Lomi routine
  • A full body Hot Stone Massage

Most importantly you will gain powerful new tools to add to your healing practice in a safe, fun and nurturing environment.

About the Facilitator(s)

Carrie Rowell spent her childhood in Oahu and has been fascinated by all aspects of the Hawaiian culture ever since. She has studied various forms of dance and martial arts and has trained with several Hawaiian masters of the healing arts over the last 12 years.

Since 1998 she has traveled the world teaching Lomi Lomi, sacred dance and women’s workshops. She is a continuing education provider in several countries and her style is fun and technical with an emphasis on hands-on work.

Nile Curtis began his career in massage 8 years ago with a focus on deep tissue as a chiropractic assistant. His extensive dance training allows him to embody the grace inherent in Lomi Lomi. Since 2005 he has assisted Carrie’s classes around the globe.


Workshop Fees

Fees include workshop, meals, accommodations, and use of Kalani's facilities including pool, hot tub and sauna.  Also included is one scheduled airport pick up with lei greeting at Hilo airport at 4pm on April 26th and drop off leaving Kalani at 10:30am on May 5th.  Plan your flights accordingly or arrange for a rental car or Kalani’s shuttle for an additional fee. Airfare to Hawaii is not included.

Receive a $100 discount off the residential prices if registered by December 31, 2011 commuter rate remains the same.
