Hawaiian Paradise Dance Camp - A unique summer dance camp for teens

Katya Surrence

July 15, 2012 - July 29, 2012

HPDC offers your teen a unique summer dance experience, receiving intensive dance training while enjoying the beauty and majesty of Hawaii.

Our curriculum: ballet, jazz, modern, ballroom, aerial and hula. With a performance at the end.

We explore volcanology, astronomy, and the land and culture of Hawaii.

We host campers ages 14 and up. Younger campers may participate on a daily basis, staying with their parents - creating a fabulous vacation opportunity for the entire family. Your child can dance and explore with other kids - under our supervision, while you enjoy some alone time exploring Hawaii... The combination of the majesty of Hawaii and our caring and supportive staff create a magical and memorable camp experience.

Description of facilitators:

Katya Surrence began studying ballet at five and can’t seem to stop. She believes dance is not only for the naturally gifted student, but that anyone with the love and drive can learn to dance. Hawaiian Paradise Dance Camp sprang from the desire to combine my two great loves: Dance and Hawaii.

I am joined by my talented, eclectic staff, who always include humor and a sense of adventure in their classes and using each student’s unique qualities to create a complete dancer.

Jacqueline Baligian theatre dance,
Amy Hamel ballet, modern, musical theatre
Kim Saunders ballet, jazz and historical dances
Wailana Simcock modern, aerial
Evelyn Tosi jazz, modern and belly dance.

Our Hawaiian curriculum will be supported by the fabulous folks of Kalani.
