Mana Lomi Retreats: 3 day Level 1 and 3 day Hawaiian Hot Stones

Maka'ala Yates

December 2, 2012 - December 8, 2012

Mana Lomi® is based on Hawaiian healing concepts of working with the body, mind and spirit. It is hands on healing that is deep and powerful, yet gentle, giving immediate and long-term results. Mana Lomi® symbolically means "to communicate energetically deep within the bones of the individual and thus with the soul of the person."

You will learn:

• An effective, 60-90 minute full body sequence to bring relief to many symptoms.

• How to release muscle tension with gentle, yet powerful and deep movements “to the bone.”

• Balanced body mechanics allowing you to deliver effectively deep yet gentle therapy for relaxation or injury prevention and relief with minimal stress on your own body

• A brief history of Mana Lomi®; Hawaiian healing chants; Ho’oponopono (living in alignment).

• Hawaiian body-mind-spirit healing and the use of Ha (breath), Mana (spiritual energy/centering) to help restore balance.

Lomi’ili’ili (Hawaiian hot stones therapy) literally means “small flat stones in motion.” It has been used in Hawaii for hundreds of years to treat physical ailments, relaxation and recovery. Each student will learn the three basic formats using hot stones. This training is more than just laying of stones onto the client. It is specific to the individual’s needs and it focuses on transitions as well as problem solving!

We will explore how stones combined with the ancient Hawaiian healing philosophies can be spiritually inspiring as well as effective immediate and long-term problem solving therapy. Healing self-care approaches for the therapist will be discussed that allow you to work deeply with little demand on your body. The emphasis of this stone therapy is on effective and thorough use of stones as an extension of the hands.

Each participant can expect to leave with a positive life transformational experience. It’s an experience of being more connected with the stones, with each other and with the planet.
