Living With Intention and Attention: A Yoga Retreat with Alicia Cheung and Oliver Reinsch
Alicia Cheung and Oliver Reinsch
July 28, 2013 - August 2, 2013
We often live knowing what we don’t want, but seldom do we know exactly what we do want!
• Is your yoga practice cultivating a sense of balance or do you find yourself getting injured or feeling dissatisfied?
• Are you happy and content in your relationships?
• Is your job or career satisfying?
• Are there obstacles that constantly get in the way of your spiritual journey?
The path towards wholeness requires knowing what you want in your life. Only then can you live with a deeper sense of integrity, a stronger sense of purpose, and with a clearer set of intentions. Only then will your dharma, or path, truly unfold to cultivate samtosa, or contentment.
How we approach our asana (mat) practice is a great metaphor for how we approach and conduct ourselves off the mat.
In this workshop we will blend profound yoga sutras into asana practices to serve as food for thought, and to help pave the way towards discovering your greatest gifts. It will empower you to actualize whatever it is that will bring about more peace and contentment in your heart and mind.
Each morning we will have a fun and energizing practice threading in the yamas and niyamas. During the day lounge by the pool, get a massage, hike, snorkel or participate in any of Kalani's day trips to the local volcanic areas or other points of interest.
Afternoon sessions will melt the heart and soothe the soul as we cultivate stillness through restorative yoga, yin yoga, breath work and guided meditations. There will be optional journaling exercises to further expand on yogic psychology.
Kalani Retreat is known for their fabulous and plentiful organic cuisine, as well as the beautiful aloha spirit each staff embraces whether they are preparing or serving the food.
We welcome all levels of yogis and yoginis, and if you are a yoga teacher already, this will expand your repertoire of teaching in a very accessible and helpful way for your students.
