300 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training in English/Japanese

Ready to refine your skills as a yoga teacher? Looking for inspiration to keep your teaching alive and fresh? Have you forgotten a lot of the material from your basic training? Do you feel like your teaching often falls short of the message that you intend to transmit?
This advanced yoga teacher training is for you! Start working towards your 500-hour registry with this modular program that will add an additional 300-hours to your base of knowledge and help you refine your skills and reinspire your teaching. Completing all four 11-day modules will give you the ability to apply for your 500-hr RYT with the international yoga governing body, the Yoga Alliance.
You can take the four modules in any order over the course of up to four years. In all the modules, we teach from the place of knowing that the goal of all yogic practices is to bring the mind into stillness and deep peace, the body into equilibrium and all parts of your being into alignment with the greater Source of all Life.
As students progress, so must the teacher in order to show the way. This module will demonstrate how to refine alignment in asanas, break down more difficult poses to allow access to all body types, deepen anatomical adjusting and help students overcome mental and emotional limitations.
In addition you’ll learn:
• how to modify asanas for beginners with and without props
• languaging to inspire and encourage students
• why pacing your verbal instructions is important
• practice your ability to see and feel lines of energy in poses and spirals
• how to create safe boundaries so students can step into their courage to try new things
You will gain confidence in your teaching abilities, learning how to guide students to more advanced levels in their asanas by understanding more subtle aspects of yoga asanas and the mind.
This training is an English/Japanese 300-hr advanced training for graduates of a Yoga Alliance Registered 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training (module #3 of 4, can be taken in any order). Any graduate of a 200-hr level yoga teacher training course is eligible to attend this program, regardless of where the course was taken. About the Facilitator(s)
Our spiritual visionary, Rupali, has her head in the clouds and her feet firmly on the earth. You will find reading the spiritual texts and getting completely jazzed. Start a conversation with her about the vibration basis of the Universe, the Yoga Sutras or the Bhagavad Gita and it could go on for hours.
Rupali’s teaching style reflects her 28 years of study in the field of yoga, vibration, universal laws, optimum health, positive psychology, neuroplasticity and multiple spiritual traditions. She has studied the healing arts of Reiki, rebirthing, hypnotic self-suggestion and emotional freedom technique (EFT). She’s in the process of becoming certified as a Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist.
Her teachers include the entire community of Kripalu Yoga Center, as well as Yoga Amrit Desai, from whom she received her spiritual name Rupali in 1991, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, with whom she studied for over 10 years, and most recently the teachings of Sri. T. Krishnamacharya.
A perpetual student of yoga, she believes that all yoga must be adapted to suit the individual so as not to create harm, and that one of its greatest values to humanity is too keep us in touch with the greater Spirit that is accessed from within the body…to live as the embodied Presence that we are.
Known as the “Bandha Queen,” Tania is most alive when teaching her beloved students about the nuts and bolts of the Ashtanga practice. She’s a technical wizard when it comes to breaking down the most challenging postures into easy, bite-sized pieces.
Although she couldn’t even touch her toes in the beginning, she was completely mesmerized by the breathing techniques she learned in her first yoga class with Rupali. That began her now 25-year journey that has inspired many students to do things they didn’t think they would ever do.
Her teachers include Rupali, Yoga Amrit Desai of Kripalu Yoga Center and Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. She originally saw yoga as a useful tool to achieve her triathlon goals, as well as improve her breathing and focus. Studying anotomy, nutrition and Ayurveda gives her valuable knowledge to share with students.
Her yoga practice has evolved over the years and has settled into a strong self-practice of Ashtanga’s first and second series, dictated by her body each day. Lately her greatest inspirations have been the teachings of Pëma Chödron and the awesome YouTube series of Kino MacGregor, whose back bend is the stuff of Tania’s dreams.
Pranayama and japa are her go-to tools for reining in the screaming monkeys in her head.
As a Florida native, she is quite fond of the water and got her degree in marine zoology, which brought her to Hawaii over three decades ago. She can be found hiking Hawaii’s trails, swimming with the fish and getting excited whenever she reads about critters or nature.
