Often simple actions like not breathing fully can cause a separation between our body and mind, resulting in a body that does not get our full attention and a mind that is not present. After guidance on aligning the body and mind, we will go into action with easy deep breathing, spinal alignment, ball work, and appropriate asana to support our personal needs. This wonderful combination releases long held tension, and gifts us with the space to hear and understand the language of our individual bodies.
Join us as we recalibrate our bodies from top to bottom! All bodies and all levels are welcome, as this will be a a joyful exploration into our personal yoga experience. Each participant will leave with multiple tools on how to continue to support the body and mind connection gently and with joy.
Maura Garland is a Yoga Therapist who specializes in harmonizing the body-mind-spirit connection, resulting in deep relaxation and gentle transformation. She began her yoga path as a child, has been an avid yoga teacher for 12 years, and is now a Yoga Therapist of 3 months.
