The inverted poses in yoga revitalize the whole system as well as providing many physiological and psychological benifts.
A guided asana practice will be followed by a breakdown of several inversions including Salamba Sirsasana (Headstand), Adho Mukha Vrksasana (Handstand), Pinca Mayurasana (Forearm Stand), Sālamba Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand), Setu Bandha Sarvangasana (Bridge), Viparita Karani (Inverted Pose), and Adho Mukha Svanasana( Downward Facing Dog).
Banka Jennifer Schneider came to yoga through Buddhism. She was ﬁrst exposed to meditation and chanting while living at Tassajara Zen Monastery and Green Dragon Temple.She went on pilgrimage to India to study with His Holiness the Dalai Lama and to France to study with Thich Nhat Hanh. In 2003 Banka completed her ﬁrst teacher training at Kalani with Kathy Elder. In 2007, she became certiﬁed in both Sivananda and Jivamukti Yoga and became an Advanced Certiﬁed Jivamukti Yoga Teacher in 2015, and Kundalini in 2016. Banka has spent 5 weeks since 2008, studying, living with and taking care of her teachers in New York and has currently been teaching yoga for over a decade.
