Partner Yoga involves physical connection, support, conscious breathing, trust, communication and a joyful sense of play and creativity. When students practice their pose with a partner, each may find more stability, depth and accessibility together than expressing the posture alone.

Marcia and Crystal Galleher, mother and daughter instructors, will offer a guided session of Partner Yoga. This workshop begins by joining our voices in heart opening chant, accompanied by the healing vibrations of the harmonium. While maintaining an inward focus on our personal experience, we will practice yoga in partnership to gain greater balance and nourishment through the unified expression of asana. We’ll close out with a blissful relaxation and cleansing meditation.

Come join this fun and exploratory workshop with your partner or find a yoga mate there!

Marcia Galleher, E-RYT 500, instructor for 24 years, offers intuitive based teaching rooted in Hatha Yoga. After many years living and teaching in southern Arizona, she and her family moved to the Big Island in 2015. Now an instructor at Kalani, Marcia teaches Integral Hatha Yoga on the weekly schedule. She emphasizes inner awareness, the mind/body unity, breathing and the subtle anatomy in a meditative asana flow.

Yoga is deeply ingrained in Crystal Galleher’s being. She has been immersed in the yogic path for most of her life (her Mother has been a yoga teacher for over 20 years). Since completing a RYT-200 hr. training in Kripalu Yoga (gentle/moderate Hatha) in 2014, she has been supporting students in transformation through self-compassion. This year, she embarked on a spiritual pilgrimage to India, discovering a deepened relationship with yoga and her own heart. She is very grateful to be back on the Big Island and offering classes that are accessible and profoundly nourishing to students of all levels.
