We offer organic cereals, dairy and non-dairy milks, and Kalani-made bread with an assortment of toppings. Sip an herbal or caffeinated tea, local Ka'u coffee, or a made-from-scratch infusion.

Visit us for lunch and you will be welcomed with an array of options, which may include soup, a main entree with vegan and vegetarian variety, and our full salad bar with Kalani-made dressings. Feel free to delight in housemade beverages or an extra snack from the toaster station.

When dinner arrives, The Lanai really comes to life. Just like our lunch options, you often have your choice of soup, entree, and sides with variety for our vegan and vegetarian eaters. Build a salad at our bountiful salad bar, and enjoy a beverage! Don't forget dessert, created by our very own pastry chefs!

At Kalani, we are committed to supporting local economies and eating locally-sourced food. Kalani kitchen sources approximately 70% of produce from local farms. We cultivate herbs and vegetables in our very own gardens and orchards, tended by permaculture volunteers. We strive to provide a true farm-to-table experience. Bon appetit!

You will be delighted by our range of culinary options. Chefs with diverse backgrounds work together to create inspired cultural meals from around the world. Thai, Indian, Italian, Japanese - and, of course, Hawaiian - are just a few of the options you can enjoy!

Our bakers create inspired desserts, delicious granola, and freshly baked breads - including gluten-free.
Freshly-prepared grab and go
Hale Aloha is Kalani's grab and go shop at the base of campus, located on the Red Road. Visit between 10 AM and 6 PM for house-made sandwiches, wraps, and cookies, along with Kalani honey, beeswax, and other locally-sourced products like Hilo Homemade ice cream, Lilipops, and Nicoco vegan gelato. We even have a small selection of grocery items. Hot and cold beverages include: coffee, tea, coconut water, and Big Island Booch.
Meal passes are available 30 minutes before the start of service at Hale Aloha or Guest Services. Please purchase your meal pass before proceeding to the Dining Lanai.
Breakfast: 7:30AM to 8:30AM
Lunch: 12PM to 1PM
Dinner: 6PM to 7:30PM
Daily and weekly menus are available online, and are subject to change pending availability of local ingredients. Lunch and dinner menus are posted daily, approximately three house before service.
