Nature, Yoga and Delicious Food
October 31st -- November 7th, 2017
Many of us fell in love with handstand immediately after the first time we balanced on our hands upside down, especially for those who found the balance without the wall. This is the magic of handstand!
If you found your best body alignment in a handstand, you experience a feeling of “Anti-Gravity,” this feeling is very similar to “flying” or “floating in space,” and this makes handstand fascinating!
Handstand wakes up our natural playfulness which a lot of us have lost; it wakes up our energy and makes us go beyond the body-mind limitation; Helps us forget our worries and stress. The high concentration in handstand and the excitement we feel after coming out of the pose is a state of unity of the body mind and spirit, what we experience is the oneness with the energy of Nature and The universe.
Handstand has great emotional healing ability, it can not coexist with any negative emotions, I have never seen anyone came out of handstand feeling sad, depressed, lonely, jealous, arrogant, closed...on the contrary, we experience courage, curiosity, joy, freedom, openness, connection, and humility...
On the big island Hawaii, Kalini Oceanside Yoga Retreat Center is full of positive energy described above. Practicing fun, joyful handstand here, immersing ourselves in the beautiful rain forest and the cleanest air in the world, enjoying abundant healthy food 3 meals a day is a life celebration, it is a great way of offering self-love to ourselves.
A lot of us have been practicing handstand for a long time with no real breakthrough. Partially because we don’t know the techniques, also because we don’t get enough time to practice it. In a regular 90 minutes yoga class, we mostly spend less than 3 minutes practice handstand if the teacher offers the opportunity, plus we have a lot of reasons keep us away from practicing. These all make balancing in the middle of the room seem impossible.
In this 7 days handstand vinyasa yoga training camp retreat, we will spend a lot of time every day to learn and practice the techniques, to open different parts of the body, to train the necessary strength that is required. Aiming to have a real breakthrough in the handstand. We will also practice yoga on the black sand beach and in the swimming pool. We will find the connection with nature, with people and with our true selves in this fun yoga retreat.
