Hawaii Massage School: LomiLomi Massage
Lomilomi massage is an integral part of the Hawaiian healing tradition. It incorporates rhythmic movement, intuitive touch, body placement, conscious breathing, prayer, and changing thoughts of limiting beliefs. The goal of a lomilomi massage session is to instill forgiveness and release, thereby creating a sense of wholeness and alignment of the self. It promotes a cleansing of the self on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels.
In this 3-day, 24-hour Lomilomi massage technique workshop, you will learn and practice the skills/techniques needed to perform a full body Lomilomi massage session. You will learn body mechanics and exercises, pule (prayer), Hawaiian terminology, strokes and techniques performed both prone and supine, and the application of hot stones.
