Hawaii Massage School: Shiatsu II
In this course, students will focus on the Supine Position of Shiatsu. Also students will learn an additional 30 acupressure points and how to apply pressure and stretch to tonify each point based on Yin and Yang / Five element theory. Detailed oriental theory including the basic 5 elements is taught at the beginning of the each session. Students will continuously learn how to take care of their own health through Shiatsu yoga self care both on land and in the water. Attention is paid to how to understand the client’s body, mind and spirit, and how to blend your healing energy so both the client and the practitioner’s energy can open up to higher levels of health. A minimum of 30 hours are spent in hands on practice of these manual skills. Students have ample time each session to give and receive shiatsu under the supervision of the instructor.
