Hawaii Massage School: Traditional Thai Massage
Traditional Thai Massage developed out of Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, Yoga, and Buddhist Philosophies of Mindfulness and Loving Kindness and is said to be over 2,500 years old. Through a combination of acupressure and passive stretching the circulation of the client's life force energy is freed, creating health and vitality. Thai Massage is a dynamic therapy in which the therapist’s and client’s whole bodies are engaged.
In this course you will learn a thorough full body sequence based on the Northern Thai style. We will focus on using proper body mechanics and creating smooth transitions from technique to technique. Upon completion, you will know a sequence well enough to begin to practice it and make it your own.
Class sessions: Saturdays and Mondays from 9:00 am-12:00 pm and 1:30-4:30 pm.
Required text: Course manual will be available for purchase on first day of class for $25.
