School Yoga Institute: RYT-200 Sadhana Yoga Teacher Training

Ganapati Jededia Pennell and Jiya Julia Randall

September 19, 2014 - October 9, 2014

This 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training shares the depth of Sadhana Yoga – the yoga of spiritual practice, with a contemporary and eclectic approach to ancient wisdom from across the world. Students start from the foundation of yoga – the stillness within, immersing themselves in the yogic way of life whilst learning the art of sharing this practice. We provide thorough guidance on the art of teaching yoga as well a broader understanding of yogic wisdom, healing and the practice of conscious living, in a format that allows students to really live the life of yoga. This RYT-200 level training is rooted in the principle that in order to teach yoga we must ourselves be clean channels, so students are guided and encouraged on their personal journey to uncover a deeper connection to their source. Alongside a strong philosophical and theoretic background, including a full exploration of yoga sutras and yoga anatomy, this unique curriculum integrates Native American shamanic practices as well as Huna medicine, the indigenous Hawaiian shamanic wisdom. In following the beauty of the four directions of the Medicine Wheel, students systematically work to shed layers of physical and mental trauma, transforming darkness into sources of strength, power and even gifts that we can share with the world. The path to Yoga is the path of revealing and the path of remembering who we are. This experience facilitates the remembrance of your soul’s gifts, revealing the wise yogis within us all. Through SchoolYoga Institute’s unique approach, students learn the language of conscious sharing, with which they can share the gift of yoga with others, while continuously exploring forms of both ancient and modern yoga practices. We reach deeper into ourselves and into our senses in order to gain a deeper understanding of our daily experience. Join us in Hawaii as together we step into the beauty and the ancient wisdom of Yoga, claim the innate healing gifts of shamanism and the latent teachings of this land, and embrace our souls’ journey through the stillness within.
