Driving directions from the Hilo airport
To Exit the Airport: Head southeast on Airport Rd/Kekuanaoa St and Turn left onto HI-11/Hawaiʻi Belt Rd/Kanoelehua Ave
Next: Continue to follow HI-11/Hawaiʻi Belt Rd.
Then: Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto HI-130/Keaau Pahoa Bypass Rd and continue to follow HI-130. Continue straight onto HI-130 / Keaau-Pahoa Rd and keep straight on each of the two roundabouts to stay on HI-130.
Next: Turn left onto Pahoa Kalapana Rd. Take a slight right toward Pahoa Kalapana Rd, then continue onto Pahoa Kalapana Rd a short distance and turn left onto HI-137.
Lastly: Kalani Oceanside Retreat Center will be on the left side of HI-137 after about 10 minutes of driving on HI-137 (the ‘Red Road’). Our entrance has a red and white sign that is visible from the road and says “Hale Aloha at Kalani”.
