Ongoing classes that promote artistic expression can be found on our weekly schedule and many visitors are inspired by the beauty of our natural environment as well. Kalani is considered the birthplace of Ecstatic Dance and we encourage you to attend this weekly community event to tap into your own joyful expression through movement.

Roots of ecstatic dance are here at Kalani

Over twenty years ago deep in the jungles of Puna, a flame sparked in our community that stoked a world wide fire known as Ecstatic Dance. Movers and shakers from around the globe gather with intention to experience the power and joy of movement through dance and riveting beats of many colors. Steered by the concept of the 5 Rhythms, dancers are taken on a sonic journey free of talking or outer distractions. Ecstatic Dance is a beloved ritual celebrated by our onsite community on a weekly basis.
