Kalani is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational retreat center in the heart of the coastal jungles on Hawai’i island, and Hale Aloha serves as both Kalani’s front desk for guest information and needs, as well as a small shop with coffee, ice cream, snacks, toiletries, and local arts and crafts available for purchase. Visit us for more information about Kalani Retreat Center’s various educational classes, guest lodging, wellness services, or other programming, or stop by for a few picnic items while cruising down the scenic Red Road of Puna. Ocean view outdoor seating
Relax with a cup of local coffee or tasty island-made snack at our outdoor lanai seating area, located just behind the Hale Aloha shop. This space offers ample seating where our community and guests alike gather to enjoy the ocean view, work remotely with our free guest wifi access, or participate in special events like our Open Mic Night every other Tuesday where we stay open late from 6 pm – 9 pm. Browse through our wide selection of snacks, drinks, gifts, clothing, toiletries and crafts available, with many of the items grown or produced in the Hawaiian islands. As a local enterprise we are proud to offer a space to promote other local businesses and quality products of Hawai’i. We also support access to healthy foods through the acceptance of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) for eligible foods.
