Tobias Fehmer, MD

Tobias Fehmer, MD
Chief Surgeon, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology
Nordwestkrankenhaus Sanderbusch, Sande, Germany

Having spent half of my life at the operating table, a profession which I do love, I always felt bad when I had to deal with patients suffering from chronic ailments like backpain, where my only known answer was a knife, a syringe or antiinflammatory drugs.

A few years ago I happened to meet an American Chiropractor in Germany who taught me a new way to increase health instead of treating desease.
Medicine ist the science of disease and what causes man to die,  Chiropractic is the science of health and what causes man to live.

Not only from my personal experiences under chiropractic care but also from the witnessed changes in the health status of my patients I do enclose this very much now in my daily care of patients at any age thus promoting health and a better quality of life. Chiropractic started to change my life towards more health, the most valuable asset we have in our life. I would love you to share my experience.

Shannon Red Cloud

Shannon began her yoga journey during the hot Summer months of 2003 in Hood River, OR. Her love for Bikram Yoga accelerated her undeniable calling to become an instructor with the help of Patricia Martin-Bunch (whom Shannon will feel forever indebted to)! It is truly amazing what can happen when one person believes in you and has faith in your abilities.

Shannon went on to open The Dalles' first and only yoga studio, Pure Yoga, in 2008. While she enjoyed teaching the Bikram method for over 5 years, her life took a dramatic shift in 2009 opening her up to a deepened awareness far beyond just the scope of Bikram Yoga. This led Shannon to complete Teacher Trainings in Vinyasa, Yin, Buti and Paddleboard Yoga.

The practice of yoga continually shows Shannon that NOTHING in your path IS IMPOSSIBLE on and off of the mat. More than anything she relishes in the opportunity to share this with you, providing the space for you to open up to, feel and know that possibilities are endless, where ever you are on your path!

Ana Lacy, CCH, Reiki Master

"I am a firm believer in the power of Reiki and Crystal Healing. Reiki took me from being someone who was "hooked" on medications and constantly sick, to someone who never gets sick and is emotionally healthy.  Now, I'm a Reiki Master in two lineages, Usui Holy Fire and Karuna Holy Fire and a Certified Crystal Healer: combining the two together is magical! When we meet at the Kalani Yoga Retreat, know that all the reiki and crystals I use in your session will awaken your life intention and purpose. My intention is to help you focus on grounding to  your life intention. This will allow you to be present in your intention -- during this retreat and in your life. I invite you to set your intention for this --your – Wellness Wave Yoga Retreat... and allow yourself to heal."

Hawaii Massage School: Healing Dance Above & Below

Inika Spence

January 22, 2017 - January 27, 2017

This class is designed to bring the principles of Healing Dance into the underwater experience. Maintaining flow above and below the surface is integral; the material explores how to smooth out the moment of submerging and surfacing. When rhythm, movement shape and body position are pre-set at the surface, the receiver experiences a less radical change at the moment of submerging.

About the Facilitator(s)

Inika Spence has been an aquatic body worker since 1996, working at Harbin Hot Springs as a Watsu®, WaterDance™ and Healing Dance® Therapist. Her classes are informed by her extensive work as a therapist and bring a grounded and practical aspect to her teaching. She has over 2800 hours of training and over 4500 hours teaching aquatic bodywork. Inika has been teaching Watsu® and Healing Dance since 1999. She brings grace to the water and conveys that grace to her students through her knowledge of movement and experience in yoga, tai chi, dance, and meditation. She is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. She has combined the SE work in her sessions and brings the knowledge to her students. She has been the director of the Harbin School of Healing Arts until it burned in the Valley fire in California. She has since moved to Hawaii and is currently exploring bringing more classes to the island. For questions about Healing Dance, email Inika at inikasati@gmail.com.
