Nia gives me the opportunity to live my dream and create a sacred livlihood that inspires everyone I meet to live into their greatness. As of December 3, 2009 - my dream is now activated in the Hawaiian Islands - both on Maui and in the jungle of Puna. I found Nia in 1997 after many years of searching for a way to move my body with passion and ease. My backround is in Theatre Arts, West African Dance, Modern Dance, Contact Improvisation, Contemplative Dance and early years riding horses and jumping hurdles both on and off of the horse. I have managed three Nia studios, created my own Movement/theater practice and company, become one of 16 Nia Educational Trainers and most recently worked inside of the Nia Technique company as in house White Belt Trainer, StudioNia Director and Guest Teacher. I have worked with Debbie Rosas on the Awakening The New Feminine Spirit Art Project as well as Nia 5 Stages certification and training. My personal work, beingLoved, a somatic movement meditation process, is being offered as a support and enrichment of the Nia work. I am passionate about healing, the creative process, and empowering people to find the life that most wants to live through them.

The focus of FreeFall 1 is "body image", that is, learning to understand the masking nature of the self image and the restrictions it has over us. FreeFall 1 explores self image by stripping off this mask of coping. The "Coping Mask" is a matrix of fears, judgments, beliefs and behaviors that restrict an individual from embracing and loving life. FreeFall 1 participants will be individually assessed and facilitated through a series of exercises to move beyond these restrictions.

The body and communication have been key elements for inspiring and shaping Kristy's background. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Special Interest Rehabilitative Medicine (Speech Pathology and Audiology). She entered into bodywork as a Massage Therapist and later became an Instructor for accredited Massage Colleges in both Alberta and British Columbia.
Extensive postgraduate studies in manual therapies eventually led her to explore a presentation by Dr. John Veltheim on The BodyTalk System. Kristy embraced this state of the art approach to synchronizing the bodymind, and quickly recognized that the BodyTalk System is truly the most holistic and complete health care system. Kristy's enthusiasm for The BodyTalk System has lead her through all the BodyTalk System Modules, the PaRama Life Sciences, Orthopedic Evaluations, and currently to the cutting-edge PaRama College Diploma Program.
Kristy's interests also include the transformational work of discovering our human potential found in the The PaRama Life Science work developed by John & Esther Veltheim. Kristy is certified to teach the PaRama Life Sciences and is a BreakThrough Level 1 Intructor, a FreeFall Level 1 Instructor, and a Mindscape Level 1 Instructor.

Christy began studying bodywork at Harbin Hotsprings in 1991. She has explored many modalities including shiatsu, Body Harmony, Rebalancing, Swedish Massage, Hypnotherapy, Process Oriented Psychology, Rebirthing, Body-Mind centering, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Therapuetic touch, Polarity, Reiki, Yoga, Holy Present Dance, and a wide array of spiritual teachings.
She has been on the staff of healers at Kalani for 8 years and licensed in Hawaii for 9 years. She is constantly incorporating new information into her work.

David Sanders
David is licensed in the state of Hawaii and has been practicing his art at Kalani Honua for the last 8 years. He studied Lomi Lomi under Hawaiian Kapuna Sylvester Kepilino, Lomi masters Daniel Albers, and Nancy Kahalewai at the Big Island Academy of Massage. He also apprenticed with Billy Weaver (U.S. Olympic Massage Team) at Ki Mana Academy of Massage in Hilo. Other studies include Swedish massage at Big Island Academy, Thai massage basics at ITM in Chaing Mai, Thailand, and most recently Kerala Ayurvedic massage techniques in Goa, India and Reiki level one training in Hawaii. David also practices with home-based clients in Kehena Beach, Waikiki and Los Angeles.
